I noticed the screen glitch out in a way I’ve never seen before, freeze up, and then it needed a force restart. Here are the events so far:Ībout a week ago I was transferring files from one USB hard drive to another, a common task as I’ve been working from home. The short of it is that my MacBook Pro with brand new RAM, new SSD, and new(ish) LOGIC board is still failing to boot up. My hours have been severely cut down due to Coronavirus and I’d LOVE to not buy a new laptop right now! I understand that this machine is quite old and that it might be officially dead, but I’d like to try resuscitating it or at least figuring out what the problem is. I’ve been fighting a bit of a battle with my Early 2011 MacBook Pro 15" Unibody and at this point I’m out of ideas. EDIT: SOLVED! Find my remedy in the comments below.
